Here are all of the Battalion opinion columns by Dave Johnston. These are posted as I wrote them. They may have been editted before they appeared in print. The columns are currently listed in approximate chronological order. Select a semester in the left column for a list of the pieces available from that semester.

The Battalion is the official student newspaper of Texas A&M University, College Station. The paper prints daily Monday through Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters with a circulation of about 27,000. During the summer semesters, The Battalion publishes Monday through Thursday.

I wrote opinion columns for The Battalion for two semesters, then spent a semester on the copy desk before becoming Opinion Page Editor for the Fall 1998 semester. I was not the greatest writer or editor the paper has seen, but it was a fantastic experience, and I am grateful to those who gave me a shot. I hope you enjoy these columns.
