It seems that each observatory has such character and personality.  The structure is often steel prefab, but the remote locations (as seen <a href=\"http:\/\/mysite.du.edu\/~rstencel\/MtEvans\/\">here<\/a>) or the science graffiti (as seen <a href=\"http:\/\/enchantedskies.org\/schedule.html\">here<\/a>) make each station unique.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/mysite.du.edu\/~rstencel\/Chamberlin\/\">Chamberlin Observatory in Denver<\/a>, however, is a really nice looking building.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.du.edu\/\">University of Denver<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedas.org\/\">Denver Astronomical Society<\/a> allow the observatory to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedas.org\/publicnights.html\">host public visitors<\/a> frequently, and you can even <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedas.org\/Calendar.html\">reserve a spot in an upcoming event online<\/a>.  Our trip plans include a visit to the Chamberlin Observatory on our trip up, after spending a day in <a href=\"http:\/\/sandpaper-shoes.blogspot.com\/2009\/02\/colorado-spring-colorado-town-so-nice.html\">Colorado Springs<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This hardly even looks like an observatory!
